Enlighten Yourself With God’s Word & You’ll See Their Falsehoods

June 12, 2014

My heart grieves, my spirit weeps, and my eyes pour out tears, for I am convinced more than ever that most of those who believe they are Christians, most of those who feel safe and secure in their belief system, are not on that “narrow road” (Mt. 7:14) that leads to eternal life. They are not going to inherit Heaven, but instead Outer Darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

“Lord, Lord, did we not serve You, hang out with You…?” they will say. (See Luke 13:26) “How can You say You ‘do not know’ us?! [v. 25] Please, Lord, ‘open the door for us!’ [Same verse] Why are you saying we are ‘evildoers’ [v. 27] when we had Your own righteousness imputed to us?! –And when we did all sorts of churchy things!” (Mt. 7:21-23)

Many may go on defending themselves: “Yes, that’s true that we did not ‘produce fruit in accordance with repentance’ [Mt. 3:8], but what did that matter once we had Your righteousness covering us so that God could no longer see our sin?! That Mt. 3:10 verse which says that ‘every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire’ certainly cannot apply to us, for we were clothed with Your righteousness! We believed that You came to ‘save people from their sins’ [Mt. 1:21] and ‘set us free from sin’ [Rom. 6:18], but we were taught that that meant that even if we kept on sinning, we would never be accused by God of sin again! Heb. 10:26-31 could hardly apply to those with Your imputed righteousness! What is going on here? Was there some ‘fine print’ we didn’t know about?!”

There is no fine print. There is a whole Book that loudly proclaims the Truth. People just refuse to read it. They refuse to study it, meditate on it, and ask the Spirit Himself to instruct them. (John 16:13 // 1 John 2:26,27) Instead, they ask to be spoon-fed by those who are already “enlightened”. However, most of these “enlightened scholars” have entrenched themselves in philosophies that, though they claim to be from God’s Word, are instead from the world (Col. 2:8) or from demons. (1 Tim. 4:1) Such teachers can only lead their hearers deeper into the pit of darkness and slavery. (Mt. 15:14 // 2 Peter 2:17-19)

We must read God’s Word and stop listening to the lies of those dedicated to their false doctrines! If we are not on high alert so that we remain firm in the Truth, we will be deceived and carried away with them to Hell! (Mt. 24:4,5,10-13,24,36-51 // Gal. 1:6-9 // 2 Peter 3:17) Steadfastly persevering in the Pure Truth is the only thing that saves! (Col. 1:22,23 // 1 Tim. 4:16)

with love,
