Ushering The Ignorant Into Apostasy

May 22, 2014

Israeliteindeed has written another vital exhortation warning us not to follow leaders who, while advertising a false freedom, usher others further into the bondages of sin. Here is an excerpt from her post:

There is no freedom in delusion. God has not called us to pretend to attain victories while still obviously defeated, but to experience real victories! These false teachers speaking lies lead those who have once escaped error (pictured by the Israelites escaping Egypt) straight back into bondage. And it is a twisted bondage that pretends to be free. It is a rebellion against God masquerading as Christianity.

I encourage everyone to read the whole post here:

Is the church experiencing the “Great Apostasy”? (Mt. 24:10-13,24) It almost seems so. But, let us separate ourselves from their defection and heed Jesus’ warning, “Watch out that no one deceives you.” (v. 4)

Do people know they are deceived once they fall for deception? It would behoove us, then, to take serious precaution now by well-equipping ourselves with the Truth.

with love,
