Incompatible: Friendship With The World & With Christ

February 3, 2014

Many in the church have not obeyed the command to put to death the misdeeds of the sinful nature. (Rom. 8:13 // Col. 3:5) And because they have not, they are still at enmity with God. (Rom. 8:7,8) In spite of this, they continue claiming they love Jesus and are on their way to Heaven. But they are mistaken. (Mt. 7:21-23 // John 14:15 // 1 John 3:24) Refusing to believe warning after warning from God’s Word and from those who teach it through the Holy Spirit, they continue their friendship, even their love-affair, with the world (Ja. 4:4 // 1 John 2:15), thus reaping eternal condemnation upon themselves. (Rev. 18:4-8 & 19:1-3)

Israeliteindeed has posted another strong exhortation, a much needed call, to come out from the world and be separate, even if it be a road few else will travel with us. Here is one of her paragraphs, referring to the adulterous church who thinks such separation is unnecessary:

Yes, she is fine without the help of Jesus. Her people have their programs, their doctrines, their baptismal certificates. They have put in their time, won the approval of other men, and don’t need anyone rocking the boat. When the world’s parade comes to town, she fully intends to have a little fun. She is so devoted to her idols, the devil himself can sign his name on them, and she will still bow down. All while claiming to be walking with Christ and in no spiritual danger.

Here is the link at which to read her whole admonition:

with love,
