Foolishly Believing False Gospels
December 13, 2013
This is eternal life: To know the Lord. (John 17:3) –To know the Eternal God (Gen. 21:33) who is the only Savior of mankind as He has revealed Himself in Christ Jesus. (same verse // Isa. 9:6 & 45:21,22)
This is to know the Lord: To abide with Him in unceasing fellowship. (John 6:53-57 & 15:1-10)
Abiding in / with Christ Jesus, the bodily form of God (Col. 2:9), is done only through obedience to His commands. (John 14:21-23 & 15:10 // 1 John 2:3 & 3:24) These commands include loving Him deeply from the heart, praising Him, worshipping Him, serving Him, loving and serving others, feeding off Him and His teachings in the Word, and believing what He says there to the point of obeying exactly what it says as directed by the Spirit who uses the Word.
Anyone who teaches a different gospel is a false teacher. Anyone who adheres to a different way to be reconciled with God (–this reconciliation meaning present tense), and to be right with God (present tense), and to be saved (present tense) from eternal banishment (condemnation / damnation) from His pure and glorious presence, is taking refuge in a lie.
I have repeatedly warned people here at my blog and on the streets and everywhere I go, for the True Gospel is being ridiculed and disbelieved. The worst of these mockers and rebels are the very people who claim to love, follow, and abide in the Eternal God / Christ Jesus.
But what an impotent gospel they have! And they even admit this, not only through their actions and attitudes, but even by what they say is the Truth.
Pathetic. And horrible. For them, and for those who so foolishly listen to them.
