The Denial & Defiance Of Catholicism

October 2, 2013

Friends,
It is once again evident that when a person steps forward to expose a false and “mighty” tower of lies, those who love that tower begin making all sorts of unmerited allegations, as if they know things to be fact when they do not. In exposing doctrines that are in contradiction to numerous Bible verses, I have stated them matter-of-factly, but those threatened by statements of Truth cry, “You are angry! You are hateful!” or whatever else they think might get the focus off the issue of the lies.

The comments being made at my comment page from those defending Catholicism confirm that those in this counterfeit religion are under “a powerful delusion” (2 Thes. 2:11) because they “refused to love the Truth and so be saved.” (v. 10) Not only are their history facts wrong, but anyone who thinks that praying to Mary is not actually praying to Mary, or that praying to anyone other than God is okay with God, is certainly in denial. Moreover, they are in defiance of God’s Word, such as Isa. 8:19,20 and Dt. 18:10-12 which teach us that no one is to call on the dead, but only to look to God and His Word –His Word which is found in the Law and the Testimony. Otherwise, such a person “is detestable to the LORD.” (Dt. 18:12) The love of the Lord in me is what compels me to point these things out to those who have so far refused to come out from under God’s wrath.

“To the Law and to the Testimony! If they do not speak according to this Word, they have no light of dawn.” (Isa. 8:20) The Law and the Testimony referred to here is that found in the Old Testament, but for us, it includes the “testimony of Jesus” (Rev. 12:17) –the evidence, the declarations, and the teaching of Jesus. (John 8:24,31,32) “And they will be thrust into utter darkness.” (Isa. 8:22) It is unfortunate that in giving the Truth to people so that they may be saved from their foolishness in wandering further into the dark pit, they think that our concerned cry to them to stop and heed the warning is a lack of love.

Titus 2:1 says, “You must teach what is in accord with sound doctrine.” Why? Because false doctrine is a false gospel –and neither will save a person from being eternally condemned. (Gal. 1:6-9 // 1 Tim. 4:16) Anyone who preaches a doctrine that is not in complete accordance with Scripture is no better than any other cult-promoter, such as the Jehovah Witnesses who insist their Watchtower Society is the dictator of Truth, the Mormons who have added The Book of Mormon, the Muslims who have added the Quran, and on it goes. But, for those who belong to Jesus, we adhere to His teachings only, and so we know the Truth that sets us free. (John 8:31,32)

The Truth which God has revealed to mankind is only that which is in complete accordance with all that is found throughout the Bible. For those who have doubts as to how it was decided which writings were to be included, there is plenty of information which shows the overwhelming evidence of the reliability of the Scriptures. Here is one very good place to begin, especially considering its illuminating chart:

Here is another one:

And there are many more for the honest seeker.

I do not wish to take any more time debating Catholics (or anyone else) who do not want the Truth but who only want to argue and make untrue statements. Minds that behave closed are wasting my time. And unless comments are void of disrespectful and groundless allegations toward me, the comments will be sent to “Trash”, for it is certainly possible to disagree firmly without resorting to such things.

If people are really being honest with themselves and others, they would ask God to help them reason objectively, find truthful information, and study there, being sure to check everything out against the Scriptures as the Bereans were commended for doing. (Acts 17:11) Here is another website which I found very informative, though in light of such verses as James 2:24 and 1 John 2:3,4, I do not believe as they do about faith and actions. But otherwise I highly recommend it.

There is much excellent and well-researched information on the web for everyone to search out and glean through with the help of the Holy Spirit who, if we have been daily meditating on God’s Word, enables us to discern truth from error. (John 14:26 & 16:13 // Heb. 5:12-14 // 1 John 2:26,27) Therefore, if we all will compare everything against the Scriptures, God promises to help us come to Him, the Truth (Jer. 29:13,14 // John 14:6 // Acts 17:11 // Ja. 2:21-25) –if we are, moreover, diligently searching for the Truth with a humble heart and an honest mind. (Ps. 86:11 // Ja. 1:5-8 & 3:13 & 4:6-10)

Sincerely,
with love,
Rachel
