Calvinism’s god & gospel: False, Perverted, & Evil

April 21, 2013

Friends,
Did you hear on the news about the man who rescued a boy who had fallen down an old mine shaft? Yea, there was a host of people who praised his kindness and heroism, but then there was also a group of people who said the man should be sent to prison for life. Why? Because the boy who was rescued told that another boy was caught in the mine shaft with him and that the man had refused to help that boy. That second boy was, in fact, later found, but he was dead. When the man was asked why he had rescued the one boy and not the other, the man answered, “Because I didn’t need to rescue either one. I just chose, out of the kindness of my heart, and so that I would receive the greatest amount of praise, to rescue one and leave the other to reap the consequences of his foolishness.”

That story wasn’t really on the news, but it’s actually the salvation message and god that is being broadcasted and lauded from many a church pulpit these days. It is the gospel and god of Calvinism. This is absolutely what Calvinism teaches, though of course, by sitting in the pew, one may not hear this doctrine spelled out clearly. The pastors aren’t going to do that, because most people would, in disgust, leave and simply not come back. So the doctrine is given out slowly, and only to those who seem inclined, for reasons other than concern for doctrine, to keep attending, serving, and giving. Through intimidation to be one of the elite and through brainwashing, church-goers’ moral reasoning skills are hacked away at as God’s sovereignty is over-emphasized above His attributes of love, compassion, justice, and impartiality.

I cringed as I heard a pastor pray this week, “And Lord, thank you for dying for the elect.” How sick. –That God sent Christ to redeem only some earthlings, but most were left with their sins not atoned for and deliberately denied the invitation, chance, and ability to repent and be saved. Is that the Gospel? It’s not. (John 1:29 // 2 Cor. 5:14,15 // 1 Tim. 2:3-6 // 1 John 2:2) The Gospel invites “whoever believes” (John 3:14-18 & 5:24) and “whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.” (Rev. 22:17)

When the Calvinists start extolling their god, let’s praise the true God with this verse in their hearing: “For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes any bribes.” (Dt. 10:17) And this one: “Judge carefully, for with the LORD our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.” (2 Chron. 19:7) Or favoritism. (Eph. 6:9 // Col. 3:25)

We know very well that if a man saw two children needing rescue and he chose to pull one out and leave the other to a horrible fate, that man would be pronounced, not a hero, but a murderer. The outcry against his demented actions would be intense. Yet we are told to quietly accept Calvinism’s “scholars” who tell us that God acts and plans and makes choices like these? What heinous blasphemy we have certainly heard from these lying mouths!

Calvinism is indeed a sick joke of the devil. It is a lie, a doctrine of demons (1 Tim. 4:1), and a false gospel that will eternally condemn its teachers and those who, having full knowledge of its teachings, still adhere to it. (Gal. 1:6-9) May all who know the Truth expose Calvinism’s god and gospel for what it is: False, perverted, and evil.

Sincerely,
with love,
Rachel
