Yield To Evil Authority?

March 22, 2013

To those who are mistreated,
especially those wives
who have been taught to submit to authority,
even if that authority is opposing the Lord’s ways
of love, kindness, justice, and holiness:

Remember to continually “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Cor. 10:5) and through praise, praying in the Spirit, and quoting the Word, use your spiritual weapons so that you are strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. (Eph. 6:10-18) For “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds” (2 Cor. 10:4), including those strongholds of strife, cruelty, lies, and evil words. “We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God…” (v. 4,5)

Moreover, “Do not speak to a fool, for he will scorn the wisdom of your words.” (Prov. 23:9) The pig loves to wrestle in the mud (the filth of animosity and arguments, as he twists truths and the reasonableness of what you say), and it will never end by human effort, for the pig is not born again and cannot do anything but give in to that evil spirit who controls his unclean heart. Stop throwing your time and energy (which should be sacred and dedicated only to the Lord and His will) to catering to the pig or you will become as muddy, ruined, and polluted as him. (Prov. 25:26 // Matt. 7:6 // 1 Cor. 15:33)

“Therefore, come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” (2 Cor. 6:17) The Lord is trying to receive you into His realm of blessing and power and purity, but you are still aligned with the filthy –with wicked men, lukewarm “Christians”, idolators, and people (like on T.V. and/or your counselors) who are not speaking by the Spirit of the Lord.

If “we are the temple of the living God” (2 Cor. 6:16), then what have we to do with those whose hearts are full of idolatry and who thus belong to the devil? (v. 15,16 // 1 John 3:7-10) How can we be “yoked together with unbelievers”? (2 Cor. 6:14) We are to declare over ourselves what is correct –that we have no agreement between those of the darkness, those who walk in wickedness (cruel, deceitful, perverse, and ungodly speech, thoughts, and behavior), nor with those who lust after any kind of idol (the idols being any “not-of-Christ” desire). (v. 14-16) Because all who are disobedient to God’s ways are under His wrath (Eph. 5:6), God has commanded us to disassociate ourselves from them. (v. 7)

So stand up! Take action! Advance into God’s rest (Heb. 4:11) only in the instruction of the Lord! (1 Cor. 2:16) For “we have the mind of Christ.” (same verse) They have only the mind of their leader –Satan. (John 8:43,44) Believe it of your “dear” husband (or friend, co-worker, or pastor), for yes, it’s that bad. Do you think you are above the Lord’s decrees? Do you think you are above getting yourself ensnared as you and your children witness and learn his angry ways? (Prov. 22:24) Do you think you are allowed to defend your husband’s actions when, would it be anyone else, you would condemn them? It is not only unwise, but a sin, to defend the guilty. (24:23-25)

Stop loving, being aligned with, tolerating, and giving in to those who hate the Lord (2 Chron. 24:20 // Esther 3:2) and who “plot evil against the Lord” (see Ho. 7:15 // Nahum 1:9) by promoting rebellion against Him through their actions and/or teachings. (1 Sam. 15:23 // Jer. 29:32 // Heb. 3:8,15 // Jude 1:11) “Expel the wicked man from among you.” (1 Cor. 5:13) “Hand him over to Satan” (see v. 5) and to the Lord’s dealings so that he might still repent, be healed, and saved from Hell. (same verse // Ex. 15:7 // Ho. 6:1 // Rom. 12:19 // Heb. 12:5-13) Do you really want to remain under the roof (home, church, mission, or office) of one who is under the Lord’s curse (Prov. 3:33 // Ho. 5:9,10), one whom God will soon “hold up to shame”? (Prov. 3:35)

Be wise and accept that your own husband, child, friend, or leader is nothing but a fool. (1 Sam. 25:25) He is like wicked Nabal who loved to mock and feast (v. 10,11,36), and because he does not know the Lord, he has no understanding and cannot be reasoned with. (v. 17 // Prov. 9:10) If you are not careful to get out of the way and let the Lord deal with him the way He wants to –to “judge and discipline him so that he will not be condemned with the world” (see 1 Cor. 11:32)– then you are being a party to his eternal death. (Prov. 19:18 // Rom. 6:23) May that party end before it’s too late!

For that party is not of the Truth. It is of the Lie, of the counterfeit wisdom, of the counterfeit religion, and it has been created by those aligned with the evil ones who, like their master (the devil) who craves power and control, teach tolerance and submission to cruelty, wickedness, and perversion. This party, the cause of havoc and grief in so many homes, must come to an end! “Drive out the mocker, and out goes strife; quarrels and insults are ended.” (Prov. 22:10) For “God has called us to live in peace.” (1 Cor. 7:15)

But, does all this mean we don’t care, and that we just go on “on our merry way”? No; because the Spirit in us who cares, actually causes us to care for them more than our daily bread, as, day after day we weep before God’s throne, refusing to let go of the Lord’s feet as we plead with Him to refrain from destroying them completely.

with love,
